1. This pillaiyar is famous all over the world and attracting visitors in large numbers from all parts of India and abroad, the image of pillaiyar is with millions of people and many of them don't know that it is a nagarathar kovil.

2. This is a kudavaraikkovil. This kovil was constructed inside a rock.

Points of Interest

It is said that this temple was under the responsibility of the younger of two brothers belonging to the Illayathangudi temple with the older brother taking on the Iraniyur temple. This kovi treat iranikovil as their brother kovil and so they do not have marriage relations with them.

Location 14 kms from Karaikkudi.
